As Franchise Manager I ran a small painting business. We started out in Abbotsford where we completed 39 projects in 2013. In 2014 we worked in Langley and Surrey producing over 100 projects and the business continued to grow throughout 2015, 2016, and 2017. We provided painting and pressure washing services primarily to residential clients. Our projects included both interior as well as exterior work. Specializing in exterior work we focused on trim, stucco, wood siding, fences, decks, garage doors and the like. My role involved interviewing and hiring employees, composing and implementing a marketing plan, providing painting quotes to potential clients, scheduling jobs, purchasing supplies/paint, interacting with WCB and the CRA as well as overseeing production.Each year of the business involved growth in production, but also a strong focus on new systems of organization and improved work experience for all. Client reviews boasted our high standard of quality and friendly staff. Our team of marketers elevated the business and our painting crews continued to produce quality work.It started as a business driven by door knocking, and it turned into a business overflowing with referral business and expanding to larger projects such as an elementary school and a law firm.

I held the position of Community Facilitator in the Douglas building at Trinity Western University for the 2013-14 academic year. This role is heavily involved with the Resident Assistants and the Resident Director. This position is responsible for coordinating building and campus wide events as well as co-leading the Douglas Assistants group. Mentorship is a large portion of the role and building relationships with the RA's and new students is key. This opportunity has allowed for growth in my leadership ability among other student leaders as well as residents in Douglas Hall.

Trinity Western University

Throughout the 2012-13 school year I was elected as Vice President of Finance on the Trinity Western University Student Association. My task to prepare the Annual General Meeting Budget as well as coordinate with the Pillar Yearbook and Mars Hill Newspaper to ensure financial stability and transparency. I sat on the Campus Planning Committee and was Chairman of the Proposal Advisory Committee for TWUSA. One of my weekly tasks was reimbursing expenses incurred by council members. All expenses were reimbursed through checks or GL accounts. I prepared a monthly check journal and presented a monthly financial update. This position further developed my understanding of fiscal responsibility and budget allocation.
