As Brand Manager my role included: Developing quarterly/annual brand plans in partnership with the Sales and NPD staff. Managing Design / PR Agencies to devise artwork, media advertising and the corporate and consumer website. Implementing strategic plans and collaborating with NPD to maximise the brand potential. Managing and directing all internal functions to ensure that brand KPIs were met. Control of costs in line with department objectives and business plans. Utilising all resources cost effectively while taking into account competitive pricing and attractive retailer margins. In store Gap Analysis to review competitors’ strengths and weaknesses. Monitoring and analysing brands and competitors’ performances to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Attending trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences.

Tulip brands include Danepack, Tulip, Adams, The Fuller Flavoured Sausage Company, Spam, Stagg Chilli and Plumrose.My roles at Tulip Ltd included: Analysing the market to identify product opportunities and key trends. Analysis and presentation of Market Research following collaboration with T- poll, Fresh Insights etc. Development of marketing strategies including sales promotions, innovative packaging designs, point of sale display, recommendations on media support and advertising. Briefing Design Agencies on marketing projects e.g. packaging, media advertising, promotions, competitions. Organising key innovation and strategy events.
