Develop new products in both the inflatables and accessories categories across Pelican International’s stable of brands. Collaborate with Product Management, Commercial, and Go-To-Market teams in allaspects of the Advanced Elements brand.

Following the merger of Advanced Elements with Pelican International, my role has been to collaborate with Product Management and Go-To-Market teams in all aspects of the Advanced Elements Brand, primarily with focus in inflatable kayak product design and development.Primary Roles:-Product Design: Conceptualize designs through sketching, prototyping, 3D modeling, and computer generated illustrations. Make functional and aesthetic choices in areas such as material selection, colorways, graphics, hardware and component selection, and construction methods. Create product development specifications for full-scale production. Act as liaison with overseas factories throughout the product development phase.-Subject Matter Expert on inflatable product development, construction, capabilities, etc.-Graphic Design: Help lead the transition of all Advanced Elements consumer facing materials such as packaging, labels, manuals, etc. to be bilingual in language to meet requirements of various stakeholders.-Social Media Management: Provide content, manage presence, maintain brand image and focus across Advanced Elements' social media channels.

Collaborate with company founders to lead all aspects of design, provide Art Direction, and guide brand vision in the areas of Product Development, Graphic Design, Web Design, User Experience, Social Media, Marketing, and across all other media and industry channels.Primary Roles:-Product Design: Conceptualize designs through sketching, prototyping, 3D modeling, and computer generated illustrations. Make functional and aesthetic choices in areas such as material selection, colorways, graphics, hardware and component selection, and construction methods. Create product development specifications for full-scale production. Act as liaison with overseas factories throughout the product development phase.-Graphic Design: Develop print and digital collateral such as magazine ads, display ads,product packaging, sell sheets, instructional manuals, product catalogs, and brochures.-Art Direction & Project Management: Oversee and guide brand vision on projects contracted out to other creatives such as print catalogs, product packaging, studio and in-use photography, and web development. Primary contact and asset librarian for all media and retailer asset requests.-Web Development & Management: Produce all digital assets and written copy and implement across website as needed. Use content management system to edit or create web pages as needed. Manage all changes/additions to website and continually optimize SEO.Develop and customize WordPress blog pages as needed for various marketing initiatives.-Social Media Management & Marketing: Provide content, manage presence, maintain brand image and focus, and engage in marketing campaigns across all brand social channels.-Photography: Shoot studio and in-use photography and edit as necessary.-Copywriting: Produce all written content for press releases, magazine publications, website, catalogs, product packaging, and instructional manuals.

Educated and mentored high school students in the principles of design. Helped to develop curriculum and led workshops on shop and tool safety. From 2007 to 2008, helped students from Thurgood Marshall High School in San Francisco develop a community bench which was selected for a limited exhibition in San Francisco's DeYoung Museum.
