I moved over to Accounts Receivables as a Billing Specialist in April 2023. I billed for the Science and Space business unit working on mostly government contracts. We billed monthly and bi monthly cycles almost solely out of Costpoint. One month ago I moved to the Submission and Reconciliation team as the Science and Space liaison. I now handle all government portal submissions through WAWF, IPP, Coupa and others. We also reconcile all KBR business unit project data against DFAS data using Excel. This allows us to proactively looking for funding issues and other potential reasons for payment delay to help with cash.

I worked in the initial review queue where i handled all the invoices for specific vendors as assigned by my manager. I reviewed invoice submissions, determined contract type using Costpoint (match 2 or 3) which determines type of approval needed, reviewed purchase order/contract data to determine period of performance and other pertinent details needed to submit and process the invoice. We also worked invoice rejections by returning documents to the vendor with PP&C’s rejection notes for resubmission. I was awarded a Crystal KBR award in 2022 for my contribution to excellence and getting our metrics below the targeted goal. I was also responsible for working with our internal customers such as PP&C to ensure invoices are processed quickly and correctly.

Sales! Private party sales for events > 8 guests. Was responsible for tracking of sales and reconciling against the sales goals/budget that we established. I also generated all of my contracts and was responsible for collecting of funds (deposit and final bill) for all of my corporate/private events. We were also responsible for outreach to local businesses and associations to help meet our sales goals.

I began as a Service manager in charge of FOH staff and closing the restaurant. This included nightly closing financials, scheduling FOH employees on Hotschedules, weekly payroll reconciliation, overseeing nightly restaurant activities to ensure successful shift, holding nightly pre-shift meetings to discuss specials and upcoming events. Also, would conduct initial employment interviews. Was then promoted to take over all private party sales after one year of service management. I was then in charge of all private party sales and overseeing the day to day of the private events across the entire Embassy Suites hotel. This included the scheduling, hiring, booking events, generation and collection of funds for contracted events, and all other sales related functions for the restaurant and hotel.
