Built and managed a very effective 10 member Tier 2 desktop services team that provided day-to-day metric driven operational support, customer responsive services and business critical projects to over 4000 employees at State Street’s multi-building site in Boston’s Back Bay. Selected for this position during a turbulent business acquisition period in response to a management necessity for a self-motivated, committed and experienced leader that could hit the ground running and deliver results.

Directed a 3 member desktop services team that provided building based Tier 2 metric driven operational support, customer responsive services and projects to 1750 users spanning 3 locations in Quincy and Milton. Chosen for this role after an IT restructuring and transition from a support model that was primarily business unit driven to one that was building based in structure.

Managed a 5 member desktop project team that delivered first-class, customer responsive service requests for the Global Services line of business which encompassed multiple production and disaster recovery sites throughout Massachusetts.

Primary lead on a multi-faceted network support team that was responsible for desktop installations, local and automated software distribution, level 2 help desk support and server environment migrations.

Delivered configuration and deployment support for workstations, network servers, printers, data storage towers, network scanners, and software for the Securities Operations line of business.

Provided technical support for a demanding internal business unit with over 700 workstations, 200 printers and 4 Novell Netware Servers. Recognized as a reliable and proactive team member.

Directed the definition, design, and implementation of the quality assurance testing and integrity of the Interchange architecture used by various database and application systems at State Street. Managed a team of 3 people which included monitoring their daily testing assignments and generating annual performance reviews.

Contributed to the definition, design and implementation of the quality assurance testing and integrity of the Interchange architecture used by various database and application systems at State Street. Aided in the preparation of the test plans and bug documentation reports. Provided a thorough knowledge of the proprietary State Street accounting system to help management in the creation of detailed and specific testing conditions.

Maintained daily/monthly fund group controls and made sure that all procedures were completed for various mutual funds. Verified proper daily calculation of all mutual fund Net Asset Values. Trained new employees on State Street’s accounting and pricing systems. Acted as a liaison between the client and State Street for accounting issues and research requests. Developed Excel spreadsheets and macros to help fund accountants complete daily and monthly tasks that were more accurate and efficient.
