During my time at Sainsbury’s my roles involved working within a large team to complete tasks such as re stocking the shelves. I applied various skills such as time management, as I had to ensure my isle was stocked on a strict deadline. Other skills such as communication and confidence, interlinked with my customer service. This is evident as I would be asked questions by customers. If I was unable to answer to a high level, I would solve the problem by asking the appropriate personal and relaying the information back to the customer. I was always prompt and showed high levels of motivation, concentration and energy even with the demands of an 11 hour shift during the night.

North Cheam

My main responsibilities included engaging with the children, to create an atmosphere appropriate for learning and enjoyment. During the times I was tutoring I would have six children within my zone. Ranging from ages 5-15, I would have to write notes about the child's session. Highlighting points of strengths and weaknesses in their work. With regards to the maths and English work they did. In addition to this, I would assist with any questions the children found tricky. Furthermore I would have to ensure that all children remained focused but motivated to work. Other responsibilities involved administration work, such as filing forms away, sending letters or emails to parents. As well as this, I would assist in holding hour sessions for older children such as practice for exam entrance tests. Other roles included providing feedback to the parents from the notes written during sessions and interacting with the kids in 'surf club' (an area they went after their hour session to ensure they have fun and building bonds). My proudest achievements included being tutor of the month once and children specifically picking me out as someone they enjoyed to work with.
