Authored and implemented several engineering processes, including decal creation and technical document creation/change procedure. Championed a hydraulic jack improvement project that had a 750k PPM failure rate and reduced it to nearly 200k with the initial supplier in the short term before resourcing the product, which resulted in near zero PPM. Actuant-wide instructor for measurement systems analysis (gage R&R) training, as well as design of experiments training.

Design, model, and build prototype hydraulic valves for industrial products; design spools and castings; model fluid flow in spool valves. Designed control valve for largest forklift manufacturer in USA (largest contract awarded to Industrial Products division in company history). Wrote initial product specification and led discussions with customer to finalize and sign. Prototyped above valve using rapid prototype castings in 5 weeks. Wrote production test procedures and troubleshooting guides for production line and customer use. Assisted/consulted in start of production on brand new assembly lines in USA and England. Trained assembly workers at HUSCO and at customer plant in operation and troubleshooting of valves. Expanded use of existing valve to larger, variable displacement pump product lines without significant additional investment by either party.
