At GÉANT, I was the earliest member of our team and have been instrumental in establishing the Security Operations Centre (SOC) from its creation, laying the foundational elements of a robust cyber defense framework. With a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security from De Montfort University, my academic knowledge complements hands-on experience in security tool configuration, daily operations, threat detection, DDoS analysis, anomaly detection methods, incident response as part of a CSIRT, MISP & SIEM, and the creation of operational processes and reports.At GÉANT, we’ve cultivated an environment where continuous improvement and knowledge sharing are paramount. My contributions to the SOC have not only enhanced our collective cybersecurity posture but also allowed me to hone skills in delivering effective training sessions and presentations to our customers and partners internationally, aligning with our mission to safeguard digital assets.
