Ryan Rivard is a graduate Cum Laude of Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. He has a breadth of experience in interdisciplinary engineering for consumer product design and R&D. Armed with first hand experience in every point of the product lifecycle (from assembly line worker to proof of technology research) he is capable of making informed design decisions that ensure a smooth development cycle. By accounting for manufacturing, integration, and sustaining challenges from the get-go he can minimize redesigns, thereby accelerating timelines from concept to market and minimizing waste. Ryan has a passion for leveraging commercial and self built software/PCB tools in the design process. He has built automated data logging lifetime test rigs, data visualization/analysis python scripts, parameterized 3D CFD models, a growing toolbox app to solve common mechanical design problems, and a host of other time saving and accuracy increasing tools. By implementing automated solutions when suitable, he is able to multiply his impact on productivity beyond that of a typical engineer.Looking to make a positive impact through his work, Ryan is interested in companies which provide an improved quality of life to their customers and companies which are actively pursuing technologies beyond the body of well understood or "mastered" physics principles. Ryan sees challenging and novel work as a source of fulfillment and motivation.
