Responsible for planning, design and execution of construction retail projects.

• Initiate the planning, developing, scheduling and execution of complex renovation and/or new build construction projects on a National basis. • Oversee and provide guidance/direction to the design team (Project Managers, Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers) in preparation of design drawings and tender packages and ensure compliance with Property Management requirements.• Oversee Project Managers/Facility Managers executing approved projects.• Ensure compliance with corporate policies pertaining to tendering and awarding of all construction related projects.• Support the development of annual Capital budgets.• Analyze, forecast and report on Capital performance.

As an employee of Rogers Communications Inc. I have been an active member in the Corporate Real Estate division as a Real Estate Analyst. I continue to play a key role as a member of the support team to Departmental Executives and the Senior Real Estate Management Team. Within my role I continue to perform location analysis, space planning and site acquisitioning projects/reports to optimize the Rogers office, retail and network real estate portfolios on a national basis. I am also involved in the project management of real estate initiatives with external corporations, as well as liaising with internal Rogers’ business units, land use planners, landlords and professionals in the real estate realm. I have been given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, such as preparing capital and operating budgets with facilities management for new construction builds and the relocation of business groups. The knowledge I have gained within my various roles has enabled me to recognize the importance of market analyses, strategic planning and the necessary ability to adapt to internal clients and customer requirements, and to stay competitive in a rapidly changing environment. I am also very passionate about the environment and feel sustainable development practices are necessary in the preservation of our economical, social and environmental interest here at Rogers. During my tenure as a Real Estate Analyst, I have been given the opportunity to learn about and experience first hand the importance of our carbon footprint and overall environmental awareness. Within this role I have been able to take on additional responsibilities, including conducting Rogers’ National Carbon Footprint for 2006, 2008 & 2009. The knowledge I have gained has enabled me to recognize areas for improvement in GHG reporting and monitoring, as wells as identify certain strategic management tactics to reduce GHG emissions and implement opportunities, such as carbon offsets.
