Rules and Training SpecialistI became a Rules and Training Specialist with CP in 2008. During my time as a Training Specialist I have qualified hundreds of employees in numerous aspects of railway operations including: New Hire Conductor training program, Conductor and Engineer rules requalification, TDG Regulations, Locomotive Engineer Distributed Power Training, Fuel Trip Optimizer Training, Health and Safety Training, Coaching and Mentoring Clinics and Harassment and Discrimination Training. This position has allowed me to travel extensively, working in various locations for extended periods of time. Locomotive EngineerI have been a qualified Locomotive Engineer since 2006. I joined CP as a Conductor in 2001. Throughout my 13 year career I have maintained an exceptional work record that includes absolutely no discipline. I have gained valuable experience working in numerous terminals across Ontario and the US including London, Windsor, Hamilton, Woodstock, Cambridge, Smiths Falls, Buffalo and Detroit. With the extensive amount of territory that I have worked, I have developed processes that allow me to easily transition and adapt to different territories and working environments.TrainmasterI have previously worked as a Trainmaster at the Vaughn Intermodal Facility. During this time I was responsible for managing yard coordinators and yard supervisors to safely and efficiently expedite traffic in and out of the terminal. I was also responsible for managing unionized Locomotive Engineers and Conductors in day to day operations. This also included creating detailed train and crew reports that were used daily by upper management. I was also involved with numerous operational projects focusing on product design and logistical efficiency upgrades.
