It took me many years to figure out what I love to do in life, but finally I’ve found it. Now it’s time to continue growing and find my next challenge in the field that I love.I'm a Software Developer with 6+ years’ experience (primarily C#, ASP.NET, Azure, JavaScript environments) backed up with my previous 10 years’ experience as a mechanical engineering.Give me a problem to solve, a good cup of coffee (light roast for sure), a properly dark-themed Visual Studio Code setup, and a Spotify channel rocking Nickelback (obviously) and you've just described a truly awesome day!If you are still with me after my admission of liking Nickelback, then let me tell you a tad bit more.I haven't met a programming language I didn't like (VB.Net came close) and am beyond thankful we live in an age where anything we want to learn with just a tad bit of ambition and enthusiasm can be learned.My favorite languages thus far are C# and JavaScript (or any JavaScript framework like Angular or React). It’s existing to me to see how far they’ve advanced in just a short amount of time. I also will always have a soft spot for Python given the power it has to work with data. As stated above, I’m happy to learn and explore any language and environment. One of the joys of this profession is we have access to a never-ending set of tools and part of the fun is learning how to use them!I consider myself a full stack developer because I really do enjoy it all (yes, even some parts of Infrastructure…I spent a long time considering what I had just wrote.) My goal is to consider myself a true Software Engineer someday. (Yes, I think there is a difference and if you are interested I’d be happy to share with you!)I realize I still have a lot to learn and have been very blessed to have worked with the people I've worked with over my career as they've taught me so much.
