In an agency as proactive and creative as Kubix, I work each and every day on copy and content for dozens of clients, across a myriad of B2C industries.I write blogs, email newsletters, website copy, social media posts, and copy for Google and Facebook ads. I also engage in meetings with Account Managers, helping direct the overall creative strategy for brands we work with. In addition, I work on a small amount of design, sourcing images for ads, emails, and webpages.Our clients include large up-and-coming brands in industries such as a fashion, food, beauty, tech, and furniture. I often work on copy for that many industries on any given day! I also lead our internal communications through a weekly employee publication designed, produced and managed by myself. In addition, I produce content for our own Kubix website, writing website content, in-depth technical blogs, and helping to direct and develop our overall communications strategy.

In this role I worked with award-winning advertising agency Spark44 (which in 2021 became a part of Accenture) helping to tell the world about Jaguar Land Rover’s products. Every day I supported the delivery of new content across the company's global websites. I worked as part of a diverse international team, understanding the needs of different markets and the client’s broad portfolio of products to quickly and effectively deploy new content. Almost all content was under strict NDAs, with myself entrusted with information and assets pertaining to highly confidential unreleased products.With great attention to detail, I supported the updating of content of webpages seen by millions of people. I liaised with colleagues across the agency, ensuring content was delivered on time and up to (and beyond) the standard expected by our client. I developed a great knowledge of the requirements of communicating to individual international markets, and skills in the editing of web pages via a comprehensive digital experience platform and a tailor-implemented Content Management System (SDL Tridion).

While I ultimately concluded teaching in secondary schools wasn't for me, spending three months in a secondary school gave me immensely valuable experience with young people in an education environment, and broad experience applicable to any role in all manner of industries. I taught lessons of up to 30 students of both Year 10 students and Year 12 A Level students. I applied and implemented different teaching, learning and assessment techniques, and I also had broad experience with data and tracking. I was trained in the handling of sensitive personal data and GDPR, and produced detailed tracking documents, logging student results and targets. I’ve also had experience in dealing with pastoral issues across multiple ages. I was placed within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) form group, and every day I supported students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

I worked as a Senior Content Editor and Consultant for The Student Update, a student information website operated by BCU, where I managed a team of undergraduate marketing students to guide and train them in producing content and publishing it through a CMS. The project was paused due to COVID-19.

Both sites were built and managed with the Wordpress CMS. I also built a local jobs website, with an accompanying Facebook page which accumulated over 2,500 likes.
