About Ryan Goldberg

I am currently a Master of Software Engineering - Scalable Systems student at Carnegie Mellon University. I'm interested in computer systems and hope to continue working on impactful, low-level software problems. My goal is to work in a role which involves solving dynamic technical problems, allowing for creative approaches to their solutions. I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, where I focused my studies on artificial intelligence and systems programming. While pursuing my undergraduate degree I took part in a 16-month internship at Red Hat. While there I worked on the Performance Tools team where I proposed and implemented a language server and interactive Jupyter kernel to decrease the learning curve of Systemtap. Additionally, I added per-file signature verification for RPMs to Debuginfod to increase security and data integrity while debugging (ex.
