I help employers, large and small, resolve employment-related disputes before and during litigation. I also help management navigate complex labor issues, including NLRB charges, organizing drives, and work stoppages. Relevant experience:• Successfully arbitrated wage claims for large insurance company• Obtained summary judgment in federal court for national consumer goods company on race discrimination and harassment claims, and for national manufacturer on disability discrimination and failure to accommodate claims• Successfully opposed Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction that would have delayed or blocked the sale of an insolvent health care company• Defeated numerous agency charges and ULPs against clients in construction, manufacturing, health care, grocery, and other industries• Prevailed in labor arbitration for health care client• Counseled construction industry clients through aggressive organizing campaign tactics I also manage and frequently contribute to the award-winning Stoel Rives World of Employment law blog. When I’m not doing the above, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young sons, being outdoors, and playing cards.
