As a Site Manager my role was to ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the Covid-19 Testing Facility and to manage the services within the framework of robust clinical governance, professional standards and the Healthcare Standards Act 2000. I worked alongside the Regional Operations Team, in ensuring the optimum business potential for the site and its resources are managed efficiently. My role included; leading, motivating and supervising staff, to create a team culture and a professional working environment within the clinic and ensuring all clinical staff were suitably trained and competent in the services provided. Part of my role was to work collaboratively with various partners such as the regional operations teams, airlines and businesses to ensure diary maximises capacity, as well as monitoring budgetary and resource management.

As a Site Supervisor I oversaw the day-to-day operations of a COVID-19 Testing unit, reporting to the Hub manager. Whilst working alongside Boots colleagues and other partners to administer tests for essential workers and members of the public. I ensured my staff members were set up and ready to be clinically and operationally compliant, whilst keeping safety at the top of mind, by regularly promoting best practise and providing rigorous training/daily checks. I monitored staff performances and overseen the IPC (infection, prevention and control) in both customer and non-customer facing zones. Ensuring that safe working practices were implemented, monitored and adhered to at all times in accordance with G4S and DHSC Health, Safety and Environmental policy requirements. I was responsible for interviewing new candidates and training the successful applicants through an intensive training day before deployment to their test centres.
