As the head of the Habitat Department, I was responsible for the health and care of the buildings 10,000 gallon saltwater aquarium system as well as four quarantine systems. Responsible for inventorying and ordering supplies such as, fish disease medications, aquarium maintenance equipment and chemicals, water quality testing agents, and different varieties of food for the aquarium inhabitants. In addition my responsibilities were to develop specialized and customized diet preparations for the aquarium inhabitants. Responsible for the identification and treatment of marine aquarium diseases. Trained and scheduled new habitat department employees. Selected tasks:• Exhibit life support system (LSS) design and construction• Interview/hire/train and lead new aquarists and volunteers • Test and asses water quality and make changes as needed • Identification and proper treatment of marine parasites and diseases

Assigned to care for the park's various types of rays, sharks, saltwater fish, eels, sea turtles, and invertebrates. Responsible for daily diet preparation and aquarium maintenance and training new staff and volunteers. Selected tasks:• Elasmobranches husbandry• Green sea turtle husbandry• Tropical marine fish/eel husbandry• Food preparation and supplementation• Underwater exhibit maintenance of tanks ranging from 500 gallons to 300,000 gallons using SCUBA• Maintaining open and semi-open aquariums systems• Experience assisting and guiding guests through the 300K gallon reef tank using sea trek equipment

As Head Curator I was the lead student working in parallel with the aquarium Directors in designing and constructing of new exhibits as well as maintaining existing exhibits. Trained students in aquarium husbandry techniques, identifying problems with LSS equipment or problems with the animals themselves.
