Growing up in a military family has taught me many lessons about adapting to change. Moving to a different state every few years forced me to make new friends. New friends and new places meant new activities and sports. Playing baseball up until high school made me realize I needed a change. I picked up playing tennis my sophomore year in high school and soon realized the joy of learning a new sport. This led to me being part of my high school boys team tennis team and eventually winning the 2019 Wisconsin Division 2 Team State Championship. This experience helped me realize I constantly want to learn something new and the importance of teamwork to achieve a goal. Whether that is a new hobby, a new skill, or even something academic I have always wanted to learn. Along the way I realized that family comes first. During the Covid-19 pandemic my family and I grew closer by going on hikes together every few days. Taking a step back from our hectic lives and enjoying nature together was something that brought us even closer. From living to different states and finally moving to Wisconsin helped me understand that Wisconsin is my true home.
