Fly-in fly-out to Karratha. Oversaw the Woodside offshore gas and oil contract (since 2012) with an operation of up to 10 aircraft, including project management and managing a team of 20 engineers.Initially employed as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (incorporating Sheet Metal, Structures and Mechanical Technician) in the Adelaide Airport heavy maintenance base until 2011, then developed into national touring engineer, visiting 6 six bases across Australia.Key achievements and tasks:• Established a positive working environment at Karratha base• Project coordinator of up to 10 aircraft at Karratha base (Augusta 139 and 225)• Certification of all aircraft maintenance work, ie releasing the aircraft as fit and safe for flight• Submission of all relevant data including CASA documentation, records and defects• Daily ‘toolbox’ meetings, daily conference calls with maintenance control, weekly conference calls national management, weekly reports to head office, rostering of engineering staff• Designed and installed bespoke oxygen system to aircraft to suit Emergency Medical Services and Search and Rescue contract requirements, adhering to all company and CASA requirements, system is now rolled out nationally• Logistics management, negotiation, problem solving, attention to detail and excellent communication skills• Hosting client executives visiting the Karratha Base• Responsible for safety and quality audits, overseeing and contributing to WHS practice in the workplace• Annual Human Factor training, duty limitations and fatigue risk management• Managing incident and hazard reports with the Safety AuditorTechnical knowledge:• Strong general mechanical aptitude• Using company software such as AIMS, AMOS, Helisoft and Workday• Structures, heavy maintenance and line maintenance • Europter EC225 & EC145• Sikorsky S76 & S92• Bell 412• Eurocopter AS365N2 Dauphin 2• Augusta AW 139 & 225
