I set up a Logistics company, consisting of a multiple warehouse’s in different locations and road fleet, focusing on unique and unorthodox methods to deliver on customer needs, delivering them a competitive edge. This involved in-depth modification of our equipment to suit our customers’ individual needs, utilising lean principles to change the way our customers did business through to completely new ideas within their supply chain, challenging our team to deliver beyond expectations. In the 13 year period, I built the company from a 1 truck operation to a multi vehicle company employing 32 staff. Key Achievements:• Through superior sales initiatives, networking and reputation, the company secured contracts in varying sectors, from mining, FMCGs, leisure and wineries. • Negotiated multi million dollar contract requiring 10 Road trains delivering Biomass and Logs throughout the South West of Western Australia.• Strong year on year growth through networking and developing strong relationships with customers as well as other transport and logistics companies.• Introduced a new 'Depotless' system for our customers, allowing safe and secure deliveries to remote areas, removing the need for fixed depots and regional warehouses, and implementing co-sharing freight to greatly reduce their linehaul costs.• Securing major contracts for the delivery of bakery goods in excess of 200tons a week to Bakers Delight and Brumby’s stores.• Operated a 48ft Extendable Sideloader to deliver OSOM Fuel tanks and Demountable Buildings throughout regional WA • Developed, certified and implemented a unique lifting system to allow our Sideloaders to deliver non containerised freight onto remote sites without the need for costly crane hire.• Built a network of brokers throughout the Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas for containerised sea and air freight deliveries.

Managing GoodmanFielders (Baking) supply chain throughout Western Australia. With a fleet of 42 vehicles and 120 staff and contractors, I managed a 24hour, 7 day a week operation. Reporting directly to the General Manager and having 6 team leaders under me. My team and I were responsible for 190,000 units of stock leaving the warehouse daily to be delivered into the major chain stores, (Coles, Woolworths, IGA) and into smaller stores around WA, as well as all the incoming raw ingredients for production.Selected Accomplishments:• Using lean principles and Six Sigma projects, I managed to save GoodmanFielder $3.6million over three years.• Promoted rapidly from Night Team Leader to Distribution Supervisor and finally to Regional Supply Chain manager.• Upon leaving GoodmanFielder, I had reduced the number of company owned vehicles to 8, and reduced the staff to 55 personnel, while increasing our output. This was achieved through the use of Contractors and their vehicles, implementing new picking procedures, creating more efficient delivery runs and investing in new equipment to simplify the distribution network. This resulted in a massive cost reduction throughout the supply chain.
