Responsible for managing the team and their delivery of outreach and engagement activities to young people in the Greater London and South East region to raise awareness about of the Royal Navy,

Mainly responsible for the concept development, implementation, managing and evolution of the RNR Sea Time Training project. Proven a set of SOPs into the Overseas Patrol Squadron that now sees a seamless integration of reservists embarking to undertake sea time training. Further concepts were pitched and have been proven on Landing Platform Docks, Forward Deployed OPVs, Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and at Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron. Developing and maintaining working relationships with all stakeholders (reservists and operational units) has been essential to ensuring the success of this work and the future aspirations for it.The outcome of this work has seen the capability of the RNR improve due to an increase in operational experience within the rating cadre, and quicker progression through training pipeline for the officer cadre.

Primary Roles included taking charge of the Helm thereby assisting the Officer of the Watch in the safe navigation of the Ship, whilst also monitoring the Ship’s damage control systems to ensure the ship is safe and can operate and full capacity in order to meet the Command Aim. Member of the Ship’s Protection Force, on-board firefighting and damage control team. Trained in the use of the Ships close range weapon systems. Highly skilled Sea boat coxswain, responsible for the safety of the sea boat and its crew under many roles including search and rescue and boarding operations. Integral in subordinate development, helping junior members of the crew integrate and through the endorsement process. Proposed, developed, administered and ran a training program to integrate more Reservist at sea on the OPV platform to gain insight in a Warship’s operations at sea and consolidate their training to support this.Awarded the Fishmongers Gold Medal from the Livery Company Worshipful Company of Fishmongers in recognition for going above and beyond for developing this and for my coxswain-ship of the sea boats during boarding operations.

Conducting Maritime Security / Sovereignty patrols in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (BGTW’s). Coxswain and helming Pacific 24 RHIB’s and Lifespan Patrol Vessels to provide Force Protection for Her Majesty’s and Foreign allied Ships & Submarines that visit / transit BGTW’s. Intercepting and dealing with any threats that occur in the BGTW zone such as narcotic smugglers, migrants and Spanish Government agencies. The operating procedures were unique and vary a great deal due to the geographical area of operations.
