A complex low-grade shear-hosted deposit required an extensive infill drilling & surface mapping campaign, with over 10km of core logged pre-production. Duties included:• Detailed geological mapping• Production of accurate site DTMs• Drone survey point cloud & ortho imagery• Training onsite geologists to map effectively• Creating & managing MS Access forms for shift geos• Managing drill teams• Ensuring lab assay QAQC• Sole management of exploration and production drilling databases• Creation of bespoke infield GIS solutions for mapping and drill trackingUSA Metallurgical Coal Assessment:Substantial preliminary assessment of historic core logging, assay results, and geological mapping in with subsequent site visits to map local geology & assess the viability of a decommissioned deposit. This project required detailed research into exploration permitting.Egypt Iron Ore:JORC pre-feasibility study for historic exploration permits in Egypt, initial desk-studies comprised assessment of substantial existing geological data to focus targets for further in-field research. Visits within the substantial acreage were undertaken to confirm ore presence, bolster previous mapping, and identify suitable sites for drilling. Extensive research combined existing geological information with spectral classification of remotely sensed multispectral imagery to greatly improve the spatial fidelity of mapped lithologies and highlight further areas prospective for ferrous mineral deposits within the vast acreage.
