I took over NatWest Markets capital forecasting capabilities in June 2019, which were previously managed within RBS Group and transitioned and took control of a large number of critical and complex tasks over the course of 2 months. I am responsible for driving through major changes to all capital forecasting processes including MI reports and analysis, stakeholder interaction and technical modelling updates. I prepare capital forecasts and analyses for budget planning, stress testing and regulatory reports.

A secondment working with the IBOR transition team within NatWest Markets Treasury. My responsibilities involved determining the scope, objectives and milestones of the project with a focus on collating and mining databases of trade data to understand which products and business areas were most affected by IBOR transition and where any key operational weaknesses were found.By the end of my time on the team I had helped structure a strategic plan that targeted the most sensitive areas of the bank and delivered results ahead of the discontinuation of IBOR.

Secondment with the Large Cap Leveraged Finance front office team responsible for the origination of high yield bonds and institutional loans for non-IG corporate clients. I covered UK and European corporates in sectors such as energy, chemicals, engineering and healthcare.My role required preparation of in-depth credit analysis of each client with recommendations for maximum leverage. This includes cash flow forecasts and stress tests of forward debt serving ability. My work formed the financial analysis section of the final credit approval submission.

I performed detailed analysis of client business models and their regulatory capital challenges and developed a deep expertise in CRR and CRDIV bank prudential regulation. This would include detailed recommendations and forecasts of regulatory capital ratios using public information. I covered UK and European banks working alongside the regional sales teams who used my analysis directly in sales pitches and market strategy documents. I also worked directly with clients.

Joined the RBS graduate programme within the ALM Solutions team. My role involved undertaking detailed analysis of UK and European bank and insurance client ALM problems. in this role I developed a strong expertise in banking regulation and became the key go-to person on technical regulatory issues.A large part of my role involved equity release mortgage solutions for building societies and annuity providers. I was responsible for cashflow and behavioural modelling using actuarial projections to produce cashflow and amortisation forecasts.
