I started an apprenticeship back in New Zealand in 2009 where over the 3 years I was involved in many different areas of the industry from installation and commissioning of telephone NEAX switches, broadband nodes (DSLAMS and ISAMS), DWDM's, SDH's, ISDN and PABX systems. Complete upgrades of telecommunication mobile carrier network. Spent most my time working on the 3G network upgrade from CDMA.Since early 2012 I have been working in the Mining, oil and gas industry. I thoroughly enjoy my profession and love working on large scale projects. Most large scale construction project included working with Fibre Optic systems, coax and CAT cable. Low voltage installation, Doing anything from basic rack installs and fit outs to complete construction of remote site communication rooms, network systems including installation, configuring and troubleshooting of Cisco routers/switches/WLC’s, VSAT systems, MATV systems, GPON, PAGA, CCTV, FOIDS and Access control.Fabrication and Installation of cable tray and ladder, steel and PVC conduit. Installation of antenna's, and dishes.Site acceptance testing with following instruments. OTDR, LSPM, TDR, Fluke 1664FC, Site master, PIM testing.Have always been extremely reliable and can always be counted on to get the job done in a timely manner and to a very high standard whether the job is a small or large scale project. I have always taken a lot of pride in my work.
