- Oversaw the day-to-day operations of 58 out of the TTC's 75 stations in my tenure, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.- Led a support team comprising Duty Station Managers, Station Supervisors, Customer Service Representatives, and other staff members.- Familiarized new and current employees with TTC policies and procedures, providing ongoing guidance, counseling, and performance evaluations.- Actively managed risks by conducting regular inspections and evacuation exercises, maintaining the highest standards of safety and loss control.- Liaised with emergency and security service personnel, including Toronto Fire and Police, Emergency Medical Services, and the Ministry of Labour.- Proactively involved appropriate departments to audit and address any suspected shortcomings in skills or procedures related to operational incidents/recovery.- Collaborated with Rail Infrastructure, Plant, and Revenue Operations to ensure the full functionality of station assets.- Developed strong customer relations and partnerships with external stakeholders, including passenger groups, local councillors, and representatives of local businesses and agencies.- Assessed organizational changes and operational processes in adherence to company protocols, ensuring thorough consultation with relevant parties.- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to tackle challenges, leveraging skills and expertise to benefit other areas as needed.- Promoted professional working relationships and effective communication among staff members.- Played a key role in staff selection, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring adherence to all TTC policies and standards.
