QE Solar is a nationwide company that provides operations and maintenance services for commercial and industrial (C&I) scale solar PV systems, as well as energy storage (BESS) and utility-scale solar. It is a very well put together company who prioritizes safety of it's employees as well as satisfaction of its customers. My experience thus far has been more than I could have asked for. Being able to work alongside multiple different mentors in the field as well as getting some isight into the inter-workings of how a very successful company is ran. Asking lots of questions, gaining well-versed hands-on experience, and most importantly making the most out of the experience and opportunity.

Collaborating with two fellow college students whom I shared classes with at NJIT was a rewarding experience. One of them, who has been involved in electrical trades since the age of 16, is the founder and leader of AMK Home Consultants. Our focus lies in home automation, specializing in the latest Radio Ra 3 Smart Home System by Lutron, as well as older smart home and security systems.

Working for Stanley Electric, based out of North Arlington, NJ, was an invaluable experience for me. Leveraging the knowledge I've acquired at NJIT and through self-study on the principles of electricity, I had the opportunity to work hands-on alongside seasoned mechanics. I actively engaged with them, asking questions when necessary and delving into discussions about electrical codes and methodologies.During my time at Stanley Electric, I gained proficiency in the proper and efficient use of both hand and power tools. I learned the importance of running wires neatly and mastered the installation of fixtures, switches, breakers, and outlets. Additionally, I developed skills in diagnosing and, when possible, troubleshooting electrical issues. The exposure to construction environments also provided insights into operational procedures, broadening my understanding of industry practices.Overall, I am grateful for the decision to prioritize hands-on experience over wage considerations during this summer. This experience not only complemented my academic pursuits but also provided practical reinforcement of the concepts I am studying. Welcomed to return for work, for they were pleased with my contributions and work ethic.
