My role as the Associate Director is to provide strategy and vision as to what wellbeing programs look like at the University of Delaware. We have broadened the scope of our work to include purpose, connection, and very intentionally building a supportive community of employees at UD. With a large focus on partnerships and collaboration, we have been able to improve the entire employee experience, as opposed to one facet of the experience. My team is responsible for wellbeing programming at the individual, team, and organizational levels. We have begun to shift the culture of UD from a product-centered culture to a people-centered culture.

After being promoted to manager, I became responsible for the planning, design, development, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of campus wellbeing programs and initiatives with the goal of effectively engaging employees in health improvement efforts to foster a culture of health at UD. A large function of my role was building relationships with other units across UD to improve the employee experience. I was able to help lead the efforts in elevate wellness from a "nice to have" program to a "need to have" program.

The Wellbeing Coordinator role was a promotion and expansion of the Fitness Training & Development Specialist Role. In addition to full oversight of personal training, group fitness, and a fitness center, I also coordinated all programs that came out of the unit. The programs focus on behavior change within the faculty/staff population at UD and included everything from large scale campaigns to small group workshops. Other projects include web redesign, wellness model analysis, program development, and evaluation.

Responsible for all fitness programs for the UD employee population, including personal training and fitness assessment program, group exercise classes, assisting with University-wide behavior change programs, coordinating an annual 5K run/walk, and annual police fitness testing. Additional responsibility to a DHSS Mobile Diabetes Grant.
