Voice Engineer
The role at IP Cortex consisted of two main work flows; to contribute in the development of IPC's next-generation platform (‘NG’) and collaborate closely with Sales and Support Teams to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority (P1) and level 3 (L3) issues on the current (‘V1’) platform. with an initial 35/65% split.Issues surrounding V1 were mostly due to the age of the product with no direct upgrade path and the inhouse development language (Whitebeam) utilised. Issues could range from debugging code to identify long standing issues, problems with the internal database, and to also investigate any potential upgrade paths to mitigate vulnerabilities that had become prevalent with age and penetration testing. The (`NG`) platform (`Version2`) saw a total re think and rebuild of the platform and product offering. An architectural shift saw the use of containerization technologies and microservices with the integration of leading-edge 3rd party offerings (Speech Recognition, AI, etc.). A key part here was to stay current with the latest technologies and push the boundaries of the existing team coaching peers where necessary.
