From my years as a geography student at Michigan State University, where I created a project to determine the vulnerability of historic sites along the great lakes to erosion from wave action and storms, to assisting in the creation of a worldwide natural disaster risk assessment tool, I have held many diverse roles related to GIS software and it's applications. I have worked both in the field as a GIS technician at UDC, and as a GIS developer and researcher at FM. This has given me a broad perspective of both the technical and research uses of GIS software, and it's integration with databricks and python based scripting approaches. This includes continual work on the development of a global risk map, with many different data streams to be integrated into this greater project. Overall I am a very fast learner who is always interested to learn everything there is to know about GIS, and utilize it to improve or map out the future for everyone.
