This challenging position allowed me to implement all that I have learned in my previous role with Reading Partners in new ways. My role was to ensure quality instruction was occurring in all Reading Partners school in the Bay Area. I worked closely with individual site coordinators to track analyze and track student progress data, coach and schedule.

As a Site Coordinator I was charged with scheduling tutoring sessions twice a week for 50 elementary school students in a single school site. I managed around 40 community volunteers throughout the year as I trained them to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to the students in an urban Oakland school. I was responsible for collaborating with teachers.

Through Bike & Build I came to truly understand commitment and dedication to a project. I joined a group of 31 other cyclists to raise money and awareness for the affordable housing issues that many in the United States face. I was individually responsible for raising $3,500 in addition to working collaboratively with my peers on a number of affordable.

As an instructor at Learning is for Tomorrow I was responsible for lesson planning and lesson implementation for a class of Deaf adults. The lessons I created were focused on teaching English literacy skills to the group of diverse learners with varying English-language needs.
