Through an industry-focused approach and worldwide reach, EY helps clients to manage risk, improve performance and sustain the results.Key projects that I worked on included: • Performing CPS 220 Risk Management Framework reviews across multiple Australian financial services organisations• Performing a number of SPS 220 Risk Management Framework reviews of Australian superannuation funds with additional focus on business strategy, the risk appetite statement and risk management strategy with benchmarking against expected standards and peers in the industry. • An operational risk review for a mid-tier Australian Bank on their scenario analysis process, how this integrates with their operational risk measurement, internal capital allocation across divisions and operational risk reporting. • A Conduct risk review for a major Australian Retail Bank’s branch network. Deliverables included a conduct risk awareness training pack, developing conduct / miss-selling risk scenarios, causes and key controls to mitigate including KRI’s / analytics. • Risk and compliance issues and remediation review for a major Australian Private Health Insurer• A Risk Management review of an Australian Insurer including a Three Lines of Defence review and an IA Quality assessment. • Development of Risk Appetite metrics for an Australian Insurer with a focus on Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Claims and Client Service areas. • Performing risk culture surveys for a number of Australian financial institutions.• Assurance on cash management services provided by third party providers to a major Australian bank.• Developing an enterprise assurance framework and enhancing the assurance activity mapping for an Australian government agency

Key projects that I worked on:Major UK Pension ProviderWorking within the Investment Strategy and Execution team I was responsible for producing investment mandates across a range of different fund offerings and asset types. This involved gaining an extensive knowledge of how the funds should be managed and dealing with senior stakeholders including Investment Directors and Fund Managers to obtain agreement on this.The different mandates that I've worked on to date include: - Wealth including multi-manager, multi asset class and tactical asset allocation funds. - Treasury mandates for investment into asset-backed securities- Pension Portfolio mandates with changes due to pension reforms- Annuity funds with specific focus on Solvency II matching adjustment requirementsMajor UK Banking Group Review of miss-selling of Interest Rate Hedging Products. Working within the Customer Contact Team, I was responsible for reviewing redress statements to ensure that they correctly reflected the Banks position and attending Customer meetings to ensure that the Bank treated the Customer fairly. I was also responsible for managing feedback from meetings and communicating this to senior management staff at the Bank. I prepared training materials for the consequential loss work stream and presented training to EY staff to prepare them for this phase of the project. Major International Bank We performed a deep dive review into the processes, procedures and controls of the securities settlements team. Our report highlighted significant areas for improvement and suggested major changes to the operating model to streamline and reduce operational risk.
