Ryan Sprugel Email & Phone Number

Ryan Sprugel is a Chemistry and Biology teacher in the Independence School District. His goal in education is to provide an engaging classroom where students experience the detailed complexities of science in hands on and exciting ways. Lab based activities where students work with real world science equipment to learn biology and chemistry concepts are at the core of his teaching style. Game based competitions designed to help reinforce learning are also a constant in his classroom. Outside of the classroom, Ryan works with youth in many different settings. He has been an assistant girls high school golf and soccer coach teaching the fundamentals of both sports to new athletes while instilling the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. He has been an assistant coach for the Liberty Hills Swim Team teaching new and advanced swimmers ages 4-18. Ryan also works with youth at his church serving as the JYF youth group leader for 3-5th grade children. He also serves as an adult sponsor for the high school Regional Youth Cabinet in the Greater KC Disciples of Christ Region. While in college, Ryan volunteered as a high school tutor for Cor in Columbia, Missouri. He also worked for Adventure Club, an after school program for elementary school students at Fairview Elementary in Columbia, Missouri.
