As Chief Information Officer at Argent International, I am responsible for managing all aspects of technology for both Argent International, Inc. and Argent Tape & Label. I have direct oversight of enterprise planning, security, infrastructure, phone services, servers, and workstations. In joining the Argent family, I have become familiar with supporting a manufacturing environment using the Plex Manufacturing ERP.

As the Director of Technology and Student Information Systems for the Hazel Park School District, I was responsible for all aspects of technology equipment and services, purchases, implementations, and training. In addition to these responsibilities, I also had direct oversight of the pupil accounting and custodial services departments. Through the co-coordination of our 2012 athletic and technology bond, I successfully planned for and implemented new network infrastructures, video surveillance, video distribution, and interactive classroom technologies. Surplus funds, resulting from carefully executed budgeting practices, allowed for the implementation of a 1:1 device initiative. In conjunction with the district’s technology committee, I conducted professional development sessions focusing on educational technologies such as FASTT Math, Google Apps for EDU, Learning A-Z, Read 180, Read Naturally, SuccessMaker, MISTAR, SAFARI Montage, and interactive classrooms. Under my leadership, and a close partnership with district administration, three consecutive technology plans were developed, numerous proposals were approved, and technologies were implemented to create an exemplary 21st century learning environment.

In assuming the role of Director of Custodial Services, my primary focus had been ensuring proper maintenance and cleaning, conducive to a thriving educational environment. Early on, I was faced with the difficult task of trimming department staffing levels by one-third. In doing so, the custodial team worked tirelessly to maintain a level of service that our community, staff, and students had come to expect. Under my leadership, all custodial services team members participated in professional development, promoting workplace safety and the proper use of cleaning agents.

My career began in the Hazel Park School District during the late 90’s as the district’s sole Technology and Video Technician. Over the course of nearly a decade, I demonstrated the capability to manage the district’s technology equipment and infrastructure through providing user-level support to administrators and teachers, assisting and training teachers in the implementation and integration of classroom technologies, and supporting a building and technology bond, which provided our community with two new schools, upgraded classroom technology, and a robust network infrastructure. My commitment to the district garnered the respect of the community, staff, administration, and board of education, leading to my promotion to Director of Technology, a position that had not been filled since 2002.
