- Was part of a development team that worked on a Java web application called MyConsult, an online medical second opinion service. Our application provided a way for patients around the world to get a second opinion from a Cleveland Clinic physician.- For unique opinions, provided any support that our clinical team needed to complete a case. If any recurring manual processes were identified, created proof of concepts and requirements for future projects that would automate these processes. Regarded by the clinical team as a "quick responder" to their needs.- On a monthly basis, our financial department created many reports that gave a breakdown of different data points about the opinions we completed (opinion type, patient location, etc.). Researched and identified a way to automate these reports by using the Apache POI and JFreeChart APIs.- To make our application responsive, refactored the front-end of the application to use the Bootstrap Framework.- Because of Struts 1 end-of-life, refactored our code base to Struts 2. This improved the readability and maintainability of the application.- Created test plans for various new features and bug fixes that other developers would execute. Offered any suggestions for improvements on other developers' projects after completing their test plans.
