Promoted to Master Sergeant 1 January, 2010. Hand selected by Regimental Commander for position. Performed as a primary point of contact between the tenant commands, the Area Camp Services Office, the Area Maintenance Facility and appropriate base agencies in routine matters. Supervised all aspects of the 53 Area maintenance shop and directly supervised 39 Marines in Camp Services. Supervised and inspected all maintenance projects in the 53 Area of Camp Pendleton. Tasked and supervised the daily maintenance requirements for the 53 Area. Coordinated issues pertaining to grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance and Military Construction (MILCON) projects.Acted as the Area Commander’s representative and served as a point of contact for MILCON projects, ( over $164,000,000). Participated in 3 Pre-Constructions and Construction Design Workshops. Provided command input in to construction design workshops for new Communications building and new Bachelors Enlisted Quarters (BEQ). Provided coordination between contractors and tenant commands as MILCON projects progressed. Coordinated with local Rotary Clubs and supervised the repainting of the Regimental Theater and 4 flat top buildings within Camp Horno. Reviewed standing orders and provided input for new Regimental Remain Behind order. Oversaw the internal barracks movement of over 5,000 Marines within the Regiment and tracked personnel movement into and out of the camps BEQ’s. During flash flooding of Camp Horno in January 2010, organized reaction force to clear drainage and prevented flooding of Regimental Armory, preventing loss of over $1,000,000 in weapons and optical equipment. Kept command and Base officials apprised of the situation and supervised cleanup effort.

Provided a stabilizing leadership influence in the day to day running of Camp Horno, supporting establishment activities during the time when Regimental Combat Team-1 was deployed. Responsible for daily accountability of 450 personnel during this time period. Supervised the daily accountability functions and daily operations and requirements of the company by allocating manpower, delegation of authority, and direct supervision. Provided the logistics necessary to carry out the training schedule or tasks assigned to the RBE; Training Tank Unit swim qualified over 1,658 Marines and Marksmanship Training Unit (MTU) trained a combined total of 4,600 Marines in Rifle, pistol and Combat Marksman Training. Provided training support to Battalions preparing to deploy through creation of an aggressor platoon. Ensured that daily accountability along with guard and armory operations were conducted properly as both the Guard Officer and the RBE Armory Officer. Served as the Responsible Officer for the RBE Armory, S-1 (Administration), S-2(Intelligence), S-3(Operations and Training), S-4(Logistics), Area Guard Force, Field Mess, MTU, and NBC Consolidated Materials Reports.

Tracked 3 Marines returning from deployment to the Horn of Africa, and obtained billeting upon their return to CONUS, and devised a tracking plan for their demobilization/deactivation.

Managed workload and Due in for maintenance (DIFM) for the Avionics Division and other work centers when required ensuring support for all Marine Aircraft Group - 39 supported activities. Conducted day crew maintenance meetings to prioritize work center workloads. Advised management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential problems that may hinder productivity. Coordinated interdepartmental activity to maintain clear and complete communication. Processed an average of 4,514 items per month, ensuring paperwork was filled out correctly and completely. Managed over 40 work centers and 800 personnel. Led, trained and mentored junior Marines. Served as senior night and mid shift controller. Tracked documents, and worked with Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia PA, (NAVICP-P) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to reduce Awaiting Parts (AWP) time down to two days. Focused the efforts of all MALS-39 resources to provide support for two Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI) courses, three Combined Arms Exercises (CAX), two Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and two Unit Deployment Program (UDP) squadron deployments. As the Broad Arrow Program Manager, managed over 18 Broad Arrow reports, received glowing commendatory comments from the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) Aviation Maintenance Evaluation (AME) inspection team. Reduced down time of a critical test bench from 120 days to 65 days, resulting in the ready for issue of 22 more H-1 components.
