• Collaborated with dedicated team to conduct research and development of drilling equipment with significant contribution to the following projects:o AC Electric Top Drives with 500 and 750 tonne capacities. Drafting and design various components. Significant design contributions toward slewing power transmission, providing electrical power to bottom end of the top drive.o Hydraulic/Electric torque wrench that include belt and chain drive systems.o Traveling Blocks with 500 and 750 tonne capacities.• Engineering related calculations including FEA using Solidworks simulation.• Primary drafter of 500+ components and assemblies for torque wrench project. Creating all drawings under strict deadlines.• Acting as a liaison between machine shops who are producing the drafted parts, and engineering/production departments.• Creating test plans, executing tests, and producing test reports to be included in design binders.• 200+ hours hands on in workshop, working with millwrights for testing of prototype components. • Partially responsible for project scheduling and task managing for project using JIRA task management software. Ensuring all members have tasks and that task completion is being recorded and is on track with goals.• Managing procurement of buyout parts, identifying long lead items and tracking.

Working out of the Calgary main office, I developed a basis for real world engineering practices that will be valuable for future employment. I conducted failure mode analysis for structures and provided data processing for ongoing engineering projects pertaining to new drilling rig builds. Within my 4 month duration working with Savanna I traveled to Leduc AB to familiarize myself with the tools and equipment pertaining to drilling and well servicing rigs first hand.
