Wherever I Can

I raise funds for individual youths in need of financial support to participate in activities they would otherwise be unable to afford. I also involve friends in the entertainment industry, including artists and venue owners in holding benefit events for causes I support. Where possible I provide free administrative services for community workers and organisations who cannot afford to pay me for those services. Until recently was performing voluntary administrative duties for the primary school I attended and which my son is now attending. I also raised funds for the school with events I planned & hosted.

I was originally hired specifically to manage human resources of the restaurants as well as for the fast food outlets owned by the same holding company. Having not worked in a restaurant before, I was however pleasantly surprised that all my other previously acquired skills, for example Client Relationship Management, Events Coordinating, Inventory / Stock Control, etc all came in very handy and I was soon able to actively involve myself with almost all other aspects of the business.I have then re-negotiated my working hours with the owner to be able to spend more time on my own business venture. For a few months after May 2014 I have periodically worked in a consulting capacity for Beijing Orchard as my client.

I was approached by the owner to implement a turn-around strategy when upon returning from a stint overseas he found that the finances of his nightclub had been plundered by the management in his absence leaving the business with an enormous amount of debt.I was tasked with formulating & implementing strategies to bring the club back from the brink of collapse.As with everything I do I was not afraid to dig in and get my hands dirty so I would do anything thing from filling in for an absent DJ, help out an overstretched barman or grab a mop to clean up spills.It was a valiant effort and within that 6 months we managed to clear 90% of the debt but we were unfortunately unable to secure a renewal of the lease.

The above company being both a manufacturer and large scale importer of footwear and apparel, I was responsible for managing an administrative office and a team of stock counters with the aim of ensuring that stock records were accurately reflected and that discrepancies were thoroughly investigated and resolved. This also entailed monitoring that all transactions were properly recorded and all stock movement accounted for. The scope of my responsibility & authority extended to 4 depot branches around the country. Having over the years gained experience in or exposure to virtually every division within the company, I had a wider perspective than most colleagues employed in similar and even higher positions.I was thus also tasked with drawing up various daily, monthly & ad hoc reports for senior management & the board of directors, translating raw spreadsheet data into usable and pertinent documents.I was retrenched in 2008 when the company downsized various divisions.
