Hi, my name is Ryan Goodman and I am currently a masters student at Binghamton University studying Biomedical Engineering. My research and coursework focus on biomedical devices and computational biosystems.I am currently doing research in two labs. The first is a biomedical devices lab where I work on the development of a membrane coated smart periodontal probe. I have presented my work at the 2023 and 2024 Biomedical Engineering Society Conferences. My second lab is a computer science lab where I work on analyzing RT-PCR data using machine learning and AI to accurately predict the development of non small cell lung cancer. I have also had the opportunity to serve as team lead on a variety of projects throughout my time at Binghamton. As leader of my senior design project, the development of a tissue-identifying needle, I am required to serve as a liaison between my team, my advisor, and the stakeholders at United Healthcare Services. I believe that my experiences have prepared me very well for positions that I may have opportunities for in the future. I am determined to succeed in anything I set my mind to and I hope to have a positive impact on those around me.
