Ryan Thatcher MSN, CMSRN is a highly experienced nurse with over 18 years of expertise in healthcare. Throughout his career, Ryan has held various roles as he expanded his knowledge from a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and progressing to becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) prepared registered nurse, Bachelor's prepared registered nurse, and finally achieving a Master's degree in Nursing.Ryan's diverse background and extensive work experience have provided him with a unique perspective on the different facets of healthcare. With each role, he has gained valuable insights and practical knowledge that has shaped his professional journey.Currently, Ryan serves as a Clinical Educator for the Corewell Health Special Pathogen Unit, one of the 13 Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers (RESPTC) in the United States. In this capacity, he focuses on training and educating clinical team members to provide exceptional care for patients infected with high consequence pathogens.Alongside his work in civilian healthcare, Ryan proudly serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserve. With two deployments in the past nine years, he fulfills the crucial roles of a medical surgical nurse and detachment leader, demonstrating his commitment to serving both his country and the medical profession.Ryan's dedication to advancing the field of nursing is exemplified by his membership in the NETEC PPE workgroup. As an active contributor, he plays a vital role in shaping personal protective equipment protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of healthcare professionals.Beyond his professional pursuits, Ryan and his husband are the proud owners of a 160-acre farm in Central Michigan called 2 Men & A Hen.
