Mechanical Design & Cnc Operator Apprentice
Directly participated in meetings with the owner/lead engineer and clients to establish a solution for a specific mechanical design problem. Upon navigating design criteria, budget requirements, and technical specifications, my mentor and I would establish a timeframe and quote before beginning the CAD/CAM design process. Finally, different machining and finishing techniques were implemented to manufacture parts, ultimately satisfying the customers goal.Operated and maintained CNC mills and lathes, ensuring precise and efficient production of parts.Interpreted technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate components to exact specifications and tolerances, while reducing errors and decreasing runtime.Utilized measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.Supported the inventory management of raw materials and finished products, helping to maintain a steady flow of production, while also completing repairs when necessary.Collaborated with the lead engineer to refine manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and revise/optimize prints to ensure manufacturability while preserving critical dimensions.Managed production of the Universal Modular Glottiscope, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, allowing for maximum manufacturing efficiency.
