A fifth-generation Tampa native, Ryan Torrens is a consumer protection attorney who defends Florida homeowners in foreclosure and sues big banks, debt collectors, and other big corporations for ripping people off. Ryan has won many cases against big banks in court and prides himself on being an aggressive advocate for his clients. ​On June 1, 2017, Ryan announced his candidacy for Florida Attorney General. Believing that how much justice you get should not depend on how much money you have, Ryan ran on a platform of fighting for everyday Floridians and standing up to big corporate interests. During his 15-month campaign, Ryan followed through on his pledge to refuse even one penny in big corporate campaign contributions. Ryan ran a proud grassroots campaign and over 367,053 Floridians joined his consumer rights cause and voted for him for Florida Attorney General.
