Red Rob Catering supplies was an independent catering equipment distributor with a Showroom in Birmingham city centre. It was my responsibility to Manage the showroom, trade counter, develop staff training, manage key accounts, further develop the customer base and enhance sales growth on light equipment, tableware and janitorial supplies/sundries.

I started as a surveyor with WDM (WD Group) and progressed to General manager- where I helped develop a bespoke and, at the time, quite unique trade counter concept.This concept proved highly successful and the working model was replicated throughout the industry. WD Group is one of the UKs leading manufacture and installation companies specialising in Aluminium framed windows, doors and curtain walling, to the education sector amongst many other markets.

I became the youngest Head Chef in the MAC (Midlands Association Chefs) at the age of 21, having previously being personally mentored for 5 years by Michelin starred chef Richard Turner. Looking back, I didn't realise at the time just how significant the hard work and dedication i put into this role, would help me in future aspirations.
