My name is Ryan Hoover, and I am an editor \ production assistant \ screenwriter \ concept artist specializing in video editing and visual development for animation and live-action projects.I studied animation and film at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, home to one of the top animation programs in the country, earning a BFA and MA in 4 years. My work demonstrates a versatile skillset which includes editing, screenwriting, character design, production management and developing the artistic style of a project. In my art, I particularly value appeal, simplicity in design and new, creative approaches to time-tested concepts. I am a motivated, reliable and dedicated worker who is willing to relocate in pursuit of my dreams.I have had a passion for film making and storytelling since I was young, grown out of my parents love of Disney and my longstanding interest in art. This motivation drives my process in the hopes to someday get the chance to create worlds and characters that will stick with and inspire others in the same way that those worlds and characters of the past have inspired me. I’m always learning new approaches to my workflow in the pursuit of making my work the best it can be, be it advice from colleagues or something I discover for myself. I desire to work in the Pre-production or Post-Production side at a studio specializing in 2-D animation production on animated television series, short films or features.
