I have over 11 years of experience of coaching within the game from grassroots to elite academy level. I have coached in a professional football club at Birmingham City FC. Since being in New Zealand, I have become Director of Football at both Greenhithe Football Club and at Takapuna Grammar School. Both organisations have significantly developed since my appointments in such ways as: - Increased growth in the number of players playing the sport- Developed and educated coaches- Developed and implemented a football playing philosophy, football curriculum and programme of work.- Gained promotion in my first full season with the Mens First XI at Takapuna Grammar School- Secured a competitive First Team at Greenhithe Football Club - Developed the number of teams playing at the highest level possible for Greenhithe Football ClubI have completed many coaching courses: Oceanica A Licence, UEFA B, the FA – Youth Module courses, Premier Skills Level 1 – 3 and also Coverer Courses. I am also a trained Physical Education teacher. I have over 3 years of teaching Physical Education to high school students’. I have a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Education Teaching. Here is a snippet of my football philosophy:a. Principles for scoring goals in football: to dominate possession with a purpose to out think the opposition and to go forward with certainty, with creativity and individuality in order to create clever goal scoring opportunities. b. Principles for preventing goals in football: To retain the ball so the opposition can’t score. If we don’t have the ball to press aggressively and effectively high up the pitch to restrict the opposition getting the ball and their players into goal scoring opportunities. c. Qualities required of players: Honesty, hard work and commitment are all fundamental core values of the team and are expected from all players irrespective of age or position.
