My purpose is to obtain a position analyzing data, deriving and presenting conclusions, and developing future action plans based on the results to complete projects and goals. I thrive on completing projects and achieving goals and getting jobs done. I am a confident leader, but I am capable of and have been successful working as part of a team, or working independently. I am experienced with managing, leading and finishing projects in a highly stressful laboratory work environment.I am also a passionate teacher. Due to my natural curiosity and desire to learn and understand everything, have been told that I am both highly enthusiastic and motivating when I have presented data, lectures, and seminars. Since I strongly understand the material, it allows me to present with a noticeable degree of confidence that leads to a better understanding of the material. In this regard I have been strongly encouraged by my advisor and graduate committee faculty to pursue academic teaching opportunities.

  I completed my Doctorate of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the School of Pharmacy in Dec. 2014. My thesis focused on the relationship between tissue inflammation enhancing the risk of cancer development. My specific research focus was to understand how Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) enhances the risk of patients developing colorectal cancer (CRC).
