I am a M.Sc Materials Engineering graduate from the University of Cape Town (UCT). My academic background and nature of the engineering discipline has provided me with a strong platform to manage multi-disciplinary projects.My experience primarily focuses on managing projects in an scientific context, which applies the primary principles of project management. My people management experience however, includes strategic planning and aligning my department’s objectives with the Company’s strategic outcomes. This largely focuses on the drafting of operational plans and monitoring the performance of the department as well as employees on an annual basis, however, quarterly reviews are conducted to ensure the operational plan is being adhered to. This includes regular internal audits of project plans and budgets. In terms of my personality and work ethic, I am a hardworking, enthusiastic individual, with the ability to think analytically, compile academic (scientific) reports, efficiently manage my time in order to meet deadlines, have a keen eye for detail, present myself in a professional manner and always strive for my personal best, as I take great pride in the work I produce. I also work well in teams to achieve mutual goals. Lastly, punctuality, neatness and a love for the outdoors and fitness encompasses the final aspects of my character.
