As the head of quality for the Duluth, Knoxville, and McKinney Factory Service Centers, it is my job to correspond directly with the FAA Primary Maintenance Inspector. This includes submission of all official documents and serving as the point of contact for all FAA audits. As a technical writer I have performed re-writes and modifications of our Repair station manuals, EASA supplement, and Work Away from station supplements. My job includes the set up and maintenance of our extended work away from station locations in Knoxville, TN, and McKinney, TX. Across all 3 locations I perform reviews of Work Orders and Repair Orders, assist mechanics and inspectors in airworthiness determinations, and maintain a roster of trained personnel.

At Pratt and Whitney I performed maintenance, repair, inspection, field service repairs and overhaul services on V2500 and F117/PW2000 turbofan engines in accordance with all regulatory and quality procedures. My responsibilities included the training of new powerplant mechanics, serving on a EH&S special committee, and performing the duties of ACE Pilot concurrently with mechanic and inspection duties in an effort to help the facility achieve ACE Gold. Ace Pilot duties offered me the chance to participate in Kaizen events, lead and organize continuous improvement teams, and prepare the engine shop for ACE qualification and other quality oriented audits. In 2010 I had the opportunity to travel to Turkey to aid our sister engine shop in the setup of a new engine line. In my time at Pratt and Whitney i worked in the Disassembly, Final Assembly, Hospital/OIT, Shipping, and Test Cell locations.

As a mechanic at the University of North Dakota, I had the opportunity to perform inspections, and service on Piper Warrior, Piper Arrow, Piper Seminole, Cirrus SR-20, and American Champion Super Decathlon aircraft. This included performing Phase and 100hr/annual inspections, ELT, radio, and instrument gauge checks. Responsibilities include the documentation of all maintenance and repair work preformed on each aircraft, and the removal, inspection, repair, and replacement of parts as required

At Nelson Services, I was a foreman of a railroad crew performing construction and maintenance work on tracks located in NW Minnesota and North Dakota. Part of my responsibilities included the coordination of daily tasks with the track master, tamping ties and aligning tracks to firm up the tie bed, and new construction of railroad tracks. I was responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the Jackson 6000 and 6700 tampers, as well as the Pyke and Kershaw type regulators. Maintenance of these units included troubleshooting complex electric over hydraulic systems and repair of vibratory motors, changing hydraulic lines, and welding of broken parts. Work in this industry gave me the opportunity to operate and maintain various power equipment and hand tools which include the Ditch Witch, Backhoe, Front End Loader, Boom Truck with electro magnet, Forklift, and Jack Hammer.
