Serve as an Accountant for the Enterprise Services Center (ESC), specifically for the Federal Highway Administration. ESC is a Federal Shared Service (FSS) provider that provides accounting, financial, and IT services for the federal government. As an accountant, I work closely with DOT/FHWA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.,their state/territory division offices, and resource centers. I help resolve any accounts payable related accounting issues and assist with various department projects. My job requires extensive work researching general ledger data and reviewing transactions within the Oracle Delphi Financial System.

I serve as the Accounting Lead over Accounts Payable for the Federal Highways Administration and Highway Trust Fund Branch. I oversee the FHWA Dept. and ensure all vendor payments are processed properly and in a timely manner. I communicate between officials in Washington D.C. and the state division offices throughout the country. I also oversee different programs/functions within FHWA such as RASPS (Rapid Approval State Payment System), TIFIA credit reform program, and PRISM to DELPHI reconciliations.

I work for the RITA agency (part of DOT) doing month-end closing for and all module reconciliations and audit statistics that are needed for the Federal Government

~ Processed, booked, and validated wire transfer requests out of multiple bank accounts (>$1 million). ~ Reconciled and balanced Trust Bank account on daily basis making sure money was swept into and out of bank accounts (sometimes in excess of $200 mil)~ Test MICR specs on checks for new clients then forwarding it on for bank approval~ Aided the Sr. Business Analyst with the 1099-form process~ Tracking incoming funds out of Wells Fargo CEO Portal and deposit checks to Escrow TAR Excel spreadsheets for different states, counties, and agencies
