In 2011, Newt Cornwell turned over the day-to-day operations of Cornwell Pharmacy to Dr. Ryan Wyssmann. The last five years under Dr. Wyssmann’s management have been marked by winning the Guthrie News Leader’s Reader Choice Award for Best Pharmacy.Dr. Wyssmann has also expanded compounding pharmacy services, reached out with a comprehensive social networking campaign, added online prescription ordering and has tripled the number of prescriptions served per day. Dr. Wyssmann has positioned Cornwell Pharmacy to be a state-of-the-art pharmacy for the 21st century.Dr. Ryan Wyssmann has continued Newt Cornwell’s dedication to civic duty and leadership for Guthrie. Dr. Wyssmann is on the advisory board for the Oklahoma Frontier Drugstore Museum in Guthrie, a member of the Guthrie Kiwanis Club, the Guthrie Rotary Club, the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and the Guthrie Builder’s Club.In 2014, Cornwell Pharmacy and Dr. Ryan Wyssmann made news again by offering help to the victims of the Guthrie fire.
