Hello! I'm currently a full-time Year 2 student at Singapore Polytechnic (SP), pursuing a Diploma in Infocomm Security Management with a specialization in Cyber Defense Security, alongside a Minor in Data & Artificial Intelligence.In my Cybersecurity journey at SP, I'm delving into key technical skills such as Web Development, Windows/Linux OS Administration, Network Administration/Security, and more. During practical sessions, I've gained hands-on experience configuring firewalls, network devices, security policies, and more, solidifying my understanding of Network Security principles.Simultaneously, I'm exploring the dynamic world of data and AI via my elective modules. Through academic projects, I've engaged in data visualisation using Python Programming libraries such as Matplotlib and Pandas. For instance, I sanitized and analyzed the employment data of university graduates in Singapore, and visualized this data through insightful graphs and charts using Python.Outside of my course curriculum, I also actively participate in challenges and competitions within the cybersecurity domain. I have taken part in competitions such as Gryphons' Capture The Flag events and DSTA CDDC Brain Hack. These experiences have sharpened my problem-solving skills in tackling cybersecurity issues.Moreover, besides honing my technical skills, I aim for personal growth by engaging in group projects and extracurriculars. At SP, I had the privilege to join the LEAP Experiential Learning Camp programme, fostering my leadership skills. During the camp, I was mentored in the methodology of leadership and the power of peer influence, and also forging invaluable connections with fellow participants concurrently.[Summary]To summarize, as a Year 2 student at Singapore Polytechnic pursuing a Diploma in Infocomm Security Management specialized in Cyber Defense Security and a Minor in Data & Artificial Intelligence, I'm exploring diverse subjects ranging from Network Administration to Data Visualisation using Python Programming libraries. Through hands-on experiences and participation in cybersecurity competitions, I aim to continuously improve my technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, I strive for holistic self-development and grow essential soft skills. With a strong passion for cybersecurity and a commitment for continuous improvement, I hope to be able to contribute and gain more experience in the cybersecurity industry.
